When one looks at the upper circles of society in academia and business, one will still find a small demographic of black and minority individuals. In our research we find that these demographics are not of lesser intelligence or capacity, but rather that they have significantly different role-models with markedly different accessibility. Your average student would not be able to list five black innovators or inventors, but could easily list off Caucasian or European ones. To create leaders, first we must demonstrate leadership. RRTN aims to make these existing achievers in black history more engaging to the upcoming generation. At the moment, there is just not enough exposure of these role models when placed next to modern day athletes and musicians.
By providing youth with strong role-models and an intensive RRTN experience, we help create the future leaders of the world in ASTEM and business. RRTN takes those individuals with raw potential and ideas and helps to mold them into a finely forged masterwork leader. We give them the tools and the connections to move into the world and innovate - not follow.
RRTN is an advocacy and research think-tank, society of influential leaders and distributed nodal network of institutions incorporated to enhance the Architecture, Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (ASTEM) teaching and learning environment for black youth and professionals of color, and ultimately to captivate the attention of all. A global community monitoring, supporting, guiding and communicating the advancement of RRTN mission and impact on society.
